Everyone loves a bouquet, and everyone loves chocolate and it makes sense to double the pleasure by giving your friends chocolate bouquets. Although bouquets made out of chocolate look complicated and very professional, you will be surprised to realize that they are not all that hard to make yourself.
You can save yourself a lot of money as well as enjoy hours of crafting these at home by following a few simple steps. Alternatively, if you do not have the time to spare nor the inclination to purchase a bouquet made of chocolate, you can order one fairly easily at your favorite neighborhood chocolatier or an online chocolate specialty shop.
If you are wondering what occasions are proper for giving bouquets made of chocolate, almost all occasions can be a time you can give out your bouquets. Birthdays, anniversaries, the holidays and as party giveaways for any type of party are apt occasions for giving these types of gifts. You can give large bouquets to your loved one on Valentine’s Day or you can give tiny bouquet as a wedding giveaway at a wedding.
The first thing you need to create your bouquet would be a base you can use for your arrangement. It can be a wicker basket or a cardboard box. You can put a florist’s oasis within the box and use it to stick the ‘flowers’ in. Select any type of chocolate you want. You need to choose chocolates that are firm enough to hold on to the sticks or skewers you will stick them with in order to create the bouquet.
Making sure all the chocolates are at room temperature, poke a skewer through one chocolate candy with the wrapper still on it. Create or purchase a twenty by twenty centimeter square of printed or plain tissue paper. You can match this paper to the theme of the event. For a baby shower gift bouquet, you can use pink tissue and for a wedding you can use gold tissue. The skewer with the chocolate already on it needs to then be poked through the center of the square tissue paper as well.
The square piece of paper is what becomes your ‘petals.’ Create a number of ‘petals’ with the chocolate already on them in such a way that your box base looks filled up but not overly crowded. For a box that is six by six inches, you can make about fifteen or twenty ‘petals’ with the chocolate on them. Push the sticks into the florist’s oasis just like you would with flowers, creating a gorgeous arrangement of chocolate flowers.
